Anne was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Lynn McCuistian.
Anne was a dedicated member of Selma Baptist Church. She was a Christian who put her faith into action. She and her husband, Loyd helped practically everyone who asked for help, whether it was food, money or a place to live. They met many people who were needy, due to a rental business they own. Many of these became steadfast friends who were protective of her and Loyd in later years.
She retired from Troy State University where she worked as Dean of Academic Records for many years. After her retirement, she devoted her time and efforts to her yards, eventually opening a daylily business. At the time of her death, she was serving as treasurer of The Daylily Club and Retired Teachers Association.
She will be missed by her family and friends. We are thankful she got to live her 80 years productively and busy right up to the end.
Anne was a self made person who eked out an education on her own and accomplished many goals afterward. May she rest in peace.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd McCuistian of Dothan; daughter, Michele Cox (Joey) of Dayton, Ohio; sons, Richard McCuistian (Lynne) of Enterprise; Mark McCuistian of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, Lessie Mae Mauldin; brother, Earl Duffell, both of Enterprise; six grandchildren, Kelli, Matthew, Luke, Lynn, Jonathan, Morgan; seven great-grandchildren.
