Thidell R. McCuistion
(November 6, 1932 - February 21, 2013)
Thidell Roosevelt McCuistion was born November 6, 1932, in Optimus, Arkansas, to Cliford Alton and Susie Jane (Tipton) McCuistion. He departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Salina, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 15 days.
Thid lived most of his life in the Locust Grove area and had attended school at Iron Post. He worked as a dairy farmer for several years. He then began work at ZEBCO in Tulsa. He retired from there as a Shipping Foreman after 17 years of service.
Thid and the former Marcalene Sisney were united in marriage on November 9, 1972. He was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved working with his hound dogs and taking his wife with him to hunt coon.
Thid is survived by: his wife: Marcalene McCuistion, of the home; 4 daughters: Carol Hanna and husband Johnny of Rose, Oklahoma, Janet Benge and husband Gary of Salina, Oklahoma, Donna Fox and husband Ron of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Sandra Simpson and husband Billy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren: Kevin Benge and wife Theresa of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Crystal Pritchett and husband Richard of Rose, Oklahoma, Joe Simpson and wife Kyla of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Rachel Pickett and husband Carl of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Anthony Simpson and wife Kelly of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Cole Benge and wife Candace of Adair, Oklahoma, Valerie Wolf and husband Cody of Rose, Oklahoma, and Tori Fox and Adam Marlin of Pryor, Oklahoma; 10 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Nadine Cobler of Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; 1 daughter: Patricia Neel; 1 brother: J. E. McCuistion; and 1 sister: Kathlyn Nantz.
Funeral services were held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Rick Condit and Reverend Bob Bewley officiated.
Interment followed at the Rose Cemetery in Rose, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
