Lester J. McQuiston
McQUISTON, Lester, J., of Birch Run, age 67, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at his residence. Lester was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 11, 1942. He married Jackie Watt on April 16, 1966. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2002. Lester served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was employed with Saginaw Steering Gear for 33 years, retiring in 2002. Lester enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his best friend, Sarge. He is survived by: daughter, Patti (Richard) Sietmann; sons, Michael McQuiston, Darcy McQuiston (Julie Carson), Kris (Lisa) McQuiston all of Birch Run; grandchildren, Derek, Raegan, Greysen, Legend; mother, Dora Moore of Saginaw; brothers, Pat (Karen) McQuiston of Saginaw, Jim (Dianne) McQuiston of Hemlock, Randy (Diana) McQuiston of Whittemore; step-brother, Tom Moore; dog and best friend, Sarge. Lester is also preceded in death by his father, James McQuiston and his dad, Richard Moore. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lester J. McQuiston Memorial Fund.
