      Jeannine R. McQuiston, age 87, of Meadville passed away on Thursday afternoon September 19, 2024, in Meadville Medical Center surrounded by her family.
      She was born in Oil City on August 26, 1937, a daughter of Roland V. and Dorothy J. (Watterson) Richards. She was married to Harry Fleck who preceded her in death on August 7, 1961, she subsequently married William L. (Bill or Whitey) McQuiston On April 19, 1980, he passed April 7, 2017.
      She was employed as a cashier/back manager at Quality Markets for thirty-one ½ years.
      Jeannine was an avid obituary reader and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and crafts. She was a member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, BPO Elks #219, Vet's Club Post #2006, Women's Club, Garden Club, and Station #4.
      She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Dottie) Gratter of Meadville, and Tamela (Tammie) Horkay and her husband Bob of Westfield, IN; Bill's sons, David M. McQuiston and his wife Linda of Wexford, PA, Richard L. McQuiston and his wife Traci Williams of Colonial Beach, VA, Grandchildren, Corinne (Cori) Gratter and her significant other Kevin Hall, Natalie Gratter, Chad Horkay and his wife Lisa, Emily Russell and her husband Jack, Adam Horkay and his wife and E. Lynn, Neil Horkay; Bill's grandchildren, Jessie Hoffman and her husband Kurt, Melinda McQuiston and her husband Matt Lemine, Daniel McQuiston and his wife Jessica, David Tyler McQuiston, Eric McQuiston, Connor McQuiston, Derek McQuiston; and 18 great grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and a daughter Doris Ann Fleck.
      A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Avenue, Saegertown with Rev. Susan Slote, officiating. Family and Friend's will be received on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

      William L. (Bill or Whitey) McQuiston, 82, of Meadville, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at his daughter Dottie’s house. 
      He was born March 14, 1935 in Sandy Creek Twp., Mercer County, PA a son of Merle and Louise Beckdol McQuiston.  He married Jeannine Richards April 19, 1980 and she survives. 
      He was a 1954 graduate of Cochranton High School and attended the die sinking school at Kaiser Aluminum in Erie.  He worked for 40 years at Channellock Inc. retiring in 1997 as Foreman of the Die Room.  He was known as the best die sinker in the Eastern United States. 
      He was a member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, Meadville Elks Lodge #219 and the Hailwood Golf Course Wednesday night golf league.  He was an avid golfer, loved woodworking, building his previous home on Doughty Road, playing euchre and spending time with his family and pets.  He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jeannine, who “Loved him to the moon and back.” 
      Survivors, in addition to his wife Jeannine of 36 years, include: three sons, David M. McQuiston and his wife Linda of Wexford, PA, Richard L. McQuiston and his wife Traci Williams of Colonial Beach, VA and Kevin P. McQuiston of Tampa, FL; Jeannine’s children, Deborah Rydbom and her husband David of Meadville, Dorothy (Dottie) Gratter of Meadville and Tamela Horkay of Zionsville, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Jessie Hoffman and her husband Kurt, Melinda McQuiston and her fiancé Matt Lemine, Daniel McQuiston and his wife Jessica, David Tyler McQuiston, Eric McQuiston, Connor McQuiston, Derek McQuiston and Ali Elliott, Teresa Antz and her husband Martin, Patrick McQuiston, Bryce McQuiston, Jason Blaney, John Bramlett and Caelan Bramlett; nine great grandchildren, Kyle and Heather Hoffman, Dylan and Hailee McQuiston, Jocelyn and Jace Blaney and Triniti, Kaeli and Ethan Antz; Jeannine’s grandchildren, Jennifer Bradley and her husband Shawn, Valerie Simonette and her husband Mike, Corinne (Cori) Gratter and Kevin Hall, Natalie Gratter, Chad Horkay and his wife Lisa, Emily Horkay and her fiancé Jack Russell, Adam Horkay and E. Lynn Lawhorn, and Neil Horkay; Jeannine’s great grandchildren, Madison Bradley, Brandon and Allison Simonette and Brooklyn Gratter; a sister, Patricia Illif and her husband Robert of Greenville, PA; a brother, Larry (Ike) McQuiston and his wife Virginia of Hadley, PA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Beth Fitch; two infant children and a sister, Edna M. Speir. 
      Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with an Elks service at 5:45 p.m. 
      The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Avenue, Saegertown with the Rev. Brian Moran, retired Lutheran pastor, officiating. 
      Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. 
      The family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505 or the Meadville Elks Lodge #219, 15438 State Hwy 86, Meadville, PA 16335.
