      Faye “Meme” McCuistion

      Faye “Meme”McCuistion, 91, of Houston, passed away with her beloved daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters by her side on Thursday, July 26, 2012. A longtime resident of Houston, Texas, Faye was born in Medina, Texas on June 4, 1921. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles McCuistion, in 1941. Faye and Charles were blessed with three children, Gary, Wayne and Janet McCuistion. Although Faye lost two of her children, Wayne and Gary, too early in their lives, she remained steadfast in her faith.
      Faye was a loving and devoted servant of the Lord and an original member of Sagemont Baptist Church. Faye will be remembered for her faithfulness, sweet spirit, caring personality and warm heart. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and great grandmother.
      Faye is preceded in death by her cherished sons, Wayne and Gary McCuistion; and beloved husband of 71 years, Charles McCuistion.
      Faye is survived by her daughter Janet Reedy; son-in-law Karl Reedy; granddaughters Cristi Alexander, Danielle Raine and Jordan Reedy; great grandsons Bailey Alexander and Caden Raine; and several members of her extended family.
      The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice Care of The Woodlands, Texas for making her final days as comfortable as possible.
      The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, July 29th, and the service celebrating Faye’s life will be at 10:00am Monday, July 30th, both held at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
