- Obituary for Dandy Dean Keller
Dandy Dean Keller, age 66, of Glendive, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2003 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M.,Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Dean was born on March 5, 1936 in Wheeler, Montana the son of Clarence A. and Methal (Mcquiston) Keller. He was raised and educated in Sidney, Montana and graduated from Sidney High School in 1954.
Dean married Darlene Filler on August 18, 1956 in Fairview. They farmed in the Savage area and later moved to Dawson County in 1984. They farmed north of Glendive and Dean continued to live on the farm until the time of his death.
Dean loved hunting and fishing with his children, then with his grandchildren. Winter ice fishing was his special vacation time with sons, grandsons and friends. His favorite inside games were cards, pool, and checkers.
Dean is survived by his wife Darlene of Glendive; three sons, Carl and his wife Anita, David and his wife Marian of Glendive, and Stacy and his wife Alice of Savage; two daughters, Sheila Hill and her husband Bob of San Bernardino, California, and Tina Schmitt of Sidney; one sister Lorna Edburn of Sidney; two brothers, Clarence Keller of Arizona and Olen Keller and his wife Donna of Libby, Montana, and 16 grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Keller.
