- Honoring Sue Zapp
Sue Hamlin McCuiston Zapp of Brentwood, TN passed away on January 11, 2019 at the age of 74. She was the daughter of the late Velda Rose Cox McCuiston and Macon Hamlin McCuiston. Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, Fred Ray Zapp Jr.; son, Nathan (Marissa) and grandchildren Avery, Braden and Addie Reese; son, Justin (Kelly) and grandchildren Walker, Owen and Ryan Henry. Her sister, Diane McCuiston Smith (Roger) preceded her in death. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra Zapp Thweatt (Mack); 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and 9 great nieces/nephews.
Sue graduated from Bellevue High School and Middle Tennessee State University. She was a school teacher prior to raising her two boys. She loved her sons and volunteered for all school events and activities and never missed a sporting event. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers, sewing, smocking, painting and arts/crafts. As of late, she enjoyed painting and crafting in her Art Club and singing in the Glee Club at The Heritage at Brentwood.
To celebrate her life, her family will host a visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20th at the FiftyForward Martin Center, 960 Heritage Way in Brentwood.
