      Helen Luella McQuistion, 92, of Tiffin, died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

      Helen was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Melmore, to Clarence and Gertrude Luella (Ryan) Kipps. She married John T. McQuistion June 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death.

      Survivors include her four children, Dr. Thomas (Virginia) McQuistion of Decatur, Ill., Terry McQuistion of Bloomville, Luann (Dennis) Eisele of Marion, and Rev. Dr. Roger (Beth) McQuistion of Appleton, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Pamela McQuistion of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

      Helen was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church, Tiffin. She was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting.

      Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael McQuistion; two brothers, Clarence "Reggie" Kipps and Harold Kipps; and three sisters, Genevieve "Jennie" Biller, Pauline Weber and Irene McQuistion.

      Her funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, with Pastor Roger Giese officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville.

      Visitation will also be Friday, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the church.
