Nancy McQuiston, 83, of New Castle, went to be with her Lord and Savior, March 29, 2022, at the Haven Convalescent Home.
Born April 16, 1938, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Ringer) McKibben.
She was preceded in death on Dec. 24, 2021, by her husband of 65 years, James E. "Mac" McQuiston, whom she married Sept. 8, 1956.
Nancy graduated from New Castle High School in 1956.
She was a homemaker who loved to sew, read books, cook, babysit, shop and go for walks. Nancy had a passion for working with children and was always up for a game of hide and seek.
She was a faithful and active member of Grace United Methodist Ministry/Croton location, where she was the chairwoman of funeral dinners and was a communion steward. Nancy's love for children was most evident when she helped with "King's Kids Club." She never missed the opportunity to hug each child and tell them that she loved them, and God did, too.
She is survived by four daughters, Carol (Ralph) Delio, Millie (Merle) Glass and Dianna (Todd) Esposito, all of New Castle, and Kathy Oxley of Rayland, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Paula McKibben of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, and Patricia (Richard) Diana of Carmel, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Rashelle (Scott) Maderitz, Brock (Meghan) Glass, Ralph "RJ" Delio, Stephanie (Tim) Pander, Danielle (Jeff) Brown, Matthew Frakes (fiancée Makenna Carle) and Vince Esposito; and six great-grandchildren, Aria, Brooke, Silas, Sawyer, Matteo and Margo.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeff Oxley; two brothers, Collier C. McKibben and John A. "Jack" McKibben; one sister, Olive Jean Crane; and special family friend, Angelina Barker.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for both Nancy and her husband, James E. "Mac" McQuiston, at 11 a.m. May 7 at Grace United Methodist Ministry/Croton location, 910 N. Croton Ave, New Castle, PA 16101. The family will greet guests from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Entombment will be in Castle View Gardens.
