      MILDRED ELIZABETH MCQUISTON SLOUGH

      Munford - MILDRED ELIZABETH McQUISTON SLOUGH, 77, died June 1, 2010 at home. She retired as a teachers’ assistant for Tipton County Board of Education after 33 years. She was a lifelong member of Ravenscroft Episcopal Church where she served as Treasurer, President of ECW, and member of the Mission Council. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2 at Munford Chapel. Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3 at Ravenscroft Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Helen Crigger Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Slough. She leaves one daughter, Pamela Slough Carter; one son, James McQuiston Slough, Sr.; sister, Sarah Virginia McQuiston Sartain; grandson, James McQuiston Slough II (Christy). She was preceded in death by two brothers, John F. McQuiston, William C. McQuiston. Memorials may be made to Ravenscroft Episcopal Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of the donors choice.
