Deceased Name: Harper Eric McCuiston
GRENADA - Services for Harper Eric McCuiston, 80, of Grenada, who died of heart failure Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, were at 10 a.m. today at Central Baptist Church.
Mr. McCuiston was retired from Heatcraft and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a member of Grenada Masonic Lodge No. 31.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth L. McCuiston of Grenada; a daughter, Pat Ellis of West; a son, Michael McCuiston of Starkville; two sisters, Freddie Barrett and Alicee Worsham, both of Grenada; one brother, Wallace McCuiston of Phoenix City, Ala.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The Rev. Bill Lee officiated at the services.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton.
Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at National Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Lemley McCuiston
Elizabeth Lemley McCuiston, 92, a long time resident of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Grenada Living Center.
She was born to the late James T. and Dolly Turner Lemley of Carroll County, March 10, 1925.
Elizabeth married the late H. E. (Eric) McCuiston on Sept. 14, 1946, and they were together 57 years until his death in 2002. Mrs. McCuiston retired from the Grenada County Tax Assessor’s Office in 1987. She was a long-time, active member of Central Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Buford and Douglas Lemley, a sister Rebecca Lemley Browning, and infant granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Ellis.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Ellis (Stanley) of West; Mike McCuiston (Lisa) of Starkville; grandchildren, Rebecca Ellis Forrester (Stephen) of Somerville, Tenn., Meredith McCuiston Betts (Ronnie) of Mathiston; and Blake McCuiston (Ashley) of Starkville; great-grandchildren, Mary Agnes and Phoebe Ellis Forrester, Carson Garrett and Hayden Carter Betts, and Brantley Harrison and Emma Claire McCuiston; sister Betty Jean Booker of Waynesboro, formerly of Greenwood; sister-in-law Freddie Barrett of Jackson, formerly of Grenada; and eight nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Carrollton.
Her pastor, Bro. Bill Lee, of Central Baptist Church, will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Forrester, Blake McCuiston, Ronnie Betts Jr., Carson Betts, Hayden Betts and Richard Corder.
