      Grace Palmer, 95, passed away on November 9th, 2016, at Heritage Nursing home.
      Grace was born in July of 1921 to parents William and Anna (Urban) McQuiston in Colfax, IA. One of four children, she was the oldest daughter. In 1939 she graduated from Wilson High School.
      She worked her whole life at various Cedar Rapids businesses.
      In 1940 she married William Sowers, and in 1971 Bifford Palmer.
      For many years, she was a member of the Moose Lodge.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brother Jim, her sister Enid and her nephew Robert Martin.
      She is survived by her daughters Pat (Skip) Wells, Susan (Bob Sangster) Guyer, Betty Carter, and Mary Pirtle, her brother Bill (LaVelle) McQuiston, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
      Services will be held at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel on Saturday, November 12th at 11 am. Visitation will be held an hour before the service, with burial immediately following the services.
