James "Jim" David
TIFFIN: James "Jim" David McQuistion, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, October 21, 2015 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born on January 30, 1940, in Seneca County to Floyd and Irene (Kipps) McQuistion. On July 29, 1972, he married Shirley Ann Meisner.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Tiffin; daughter, Jennie M. McQuistion of Green Springs; son, David A. McQuistion of New Washington; and sister, Deb (Dan) Chard of Edison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Floyd McQuistion II; and two sisters, Sandy Athy and Marilyn McQuistion.
Jim graduated in 1958 from Mohawk High School, served in the United States Navy and retired from General Electric after 17 years. After Jim and Shirley married, they honeymooned at Niagara Falls, Disney World and the Grand Canyon. He was a member of the American Legion Post #250, Sycamore, Attica Masonic Lodge #462 and the Knights of Tiffin Motorcycle Club. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and he once made dinner rolls for President Kennedy.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Rick Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore with military honors being conducted by the American Legion Post #250, Sycamore.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the funeral home.
