- Marty McQuistion Obituary
Marty Lee McQuistion
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Marty "Red" McQuistion, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who departed this world Friday, January 17, 2025.
Known for his kind and caring heart, Marty was the person everyone turned to in times of need, and he never hesitated to help-whether it was a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger. Born February 20, 1957, and a graduate of Tiffin Columbian in 1975, Marty lived a life full of purpose and passion. He had an uncanny ability to build or fix anything, from restoring old cars to repairing things around the house for anyone who asked. But his true gift was the way he cared for people. His warmth and big-hearted nature made everyone feel welcome, and his presence was a constant source of comfort and reassurance. Marty had a love for the outdoors and shared that joy with all who knew him. Whether fishing at sunrise, hunting in the woods, working on construction projects, or bowling a perfect game, he embraced life with enthusiasm and a quiet strength that inspired others. Yet, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family, especially his eight beloved grandchildren. He was their biggest supporter, their patient teacher, and their greatest source of hugs and encouragement.
Surviving is Teresa, the love of his life for 47 years; their children, Rena (Bryan) Hicks and Aaron (McKenzie) McQuistion, who carry forward his spirit of kindness and generosity; and his eight treasured grandchildren, Dillian, Korbin, Olivia, Lilly, Ethan, Savanna, Colton and Ava who were the light of his life. Marty is also survived by siblings, Karen, Terry, Marla, and Dave.
He was predeceased by Kevin and Duane. He will also be deeply missed by his countless friends and neighbors, all of whom he considered family.
Marty was a man who built more than things-he built relationships, memories, and a legacy of love that will endure forever. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate the life of a man who lived with a heart full of love, hands always ready to help, and a spirit that made the world a better place.
A private celebration of Marty's life will take place Friday, January 24, 2025. Rest easy, Marty, your kindness and love will forever guide us. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
