WINCHENDON – Pauline M. (Hebert) MacQueston, 87, of 290 Hale Street, died peacefully at her residence Monday morning, July 11th, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gardner on October 25, 1923, the daughter of the late J. Noah and Harriett (Carey) Hebert, and had lived in Winchendon since 1946.
Pauline worked for many years at the Winchendon branch of Colonial Cooperative Bank until her retirement. She was a former Assistant Town Treasurer for the Town of Winchendon. Pauline was an honorary member of the Winchendon Gardner Club and was a member of the Winchendon Women’s Club and a long time member of the Winchendon Historical Society. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a former Assistant Girl Scout leader. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
Pauline was a graduate of Gardner High School and attended Becker Junior College.
Her husband of 50 years, Dexter H. MacQueston, died in 1995. She leaves two daughters, Jean L. LaFortune of Winchendon and Carol A. MacQueston of Boston; three grandchildren, Michael LaFortune and his wife Sheila, Kelly Joubert and Jennifer Dunham and her husband Keith; six great grandchildren, Erica Pratt, Sarah Dunham, Michael LaFortune 2nd, Jessica Murphy, Carly Joubert, and Andrew Dexter Dunham; three great great grandchildren; her faithful dog Charlie and granddog Abby, and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Franklin Hebert and Howard Hebert, predeceased her.
Funeral services and burial were held at the convenience of the family.
