- Ricky McCuiston, age 57, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Ricky was born on May 8, 1963 in Orlando, Florida to Claude and Marilyn McCuiston. He is preceded in death by his father Claude W. McCuiston and dogs Queenie & Roxy. He is survived by his mother Marilyn McCuiston, his sisters Lisa (Kevin), Sherri (TJ), three nieces Kylie, Wynter, Kalyssa, two nephews Paul (Katie), Eston (Victoria), 3 great nieces Emma, Farrah and Lucy, 1 great nephew Camden, along with many loving family and friends, and beloved dog Rex.
In his early years he was an amazing athlete, his favorite sport being baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog Queenie, riding bikes, and roller skating with his friends and little sister, Lisa. Ricky went to Oak Ridge High School. He worked as a Skate Guard for many skating rinks throughout the Orlando area then went on to work at Walt Disney World with his father at Fort Wilderness as a Landscaper. His passion for skating led to him being asked by Walt Disney World to skate in the Main Street parade, one of the highlights of his life.
At the early age of 23, Ricky became paralyzed and was disabled the remainder of his life. After he was injured he enjoyed going to the beach, concerts, car shows, listening to music, jet skiing, movies, playstation games, card games, shooting darts, playing pool, as well as hanging out with his dog Rex, friends and family. Although he didn’t have children of his own, he treated his sister Lisa’s three daughters, Kylie, Wynter, and Kalyssa like his own. He was there for every minute of their lives and loved them as if they were his own. Ricky had a heart of gold and never met anyone he didn’t call a friend. Ricky will be remembered always and truly missed every single day.
