      Mary Loris McCUISTON

      Mary Loris (Lorie) McCuiston died Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Born in Cumberland, MD on March 16, 1930 to John Casper Shober and Mary Ellen Tressler Shober, she was the youngest of eleven children. Lorie was an R.N., having graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid golfer, snow skier and water skier. She loved to travel and to cook for family gatherings. Preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dr. C.F. McCuiston; daughter, Nancy Wehunt (Steve); sons, Scott F. McCuiston (Nancy) and Steven J. McCuiston; grandchildren, Alex McCuiston, Katie Phillips (Dylan), Jacob Wehunt, Ellen McCuiston and Charlotte McCuiston; great grandsons, Crate Logan Phillips and Camden Rhett Phillips; sister, DeVota Taylor (Roy). Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Garden Fund, 691 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA 30643. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2015, with Rev. Dr. Matt Cawthorn officiating, at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/ Tucker Chapel, (770) 564-2726.
