Carroll Sampson "Samps" McQuiston
1934 - 2014 | Notice | Condolences McQuiston, Carroll Sampson "Samps" Of Hartford, WI, passed away from multiple myeloma on Tues., Sept. 16, 2014 at Angels Grace Hospice. Samps was born Sept. 7, 1934 in Goshen, IN to Carryl and Grace Alice (Cease) McQuiston. Samps graduated from Hanover College in 1956 and was employed by Brach Candy Company for 27 1/2 years as a division manager. Samps enjoyed flying his airplane, racing Formula V's alongside Bernie at Road America, the Packers and Brewers and auto races. He also loved good restaurants, fine wines and a good cigar. Samps is survived by his significant other of almost 28 years (September 27) Bernice Mary "Bernie" (Kubiak) Montag; his sons, Allen (Wendy) and Scott (Janice) McQuiston; his 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Bernie's children: Ann Preisler, Stephanie (Darren) Grauden and Tony (Cheri) Montag, Jr.; her 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceding Samps are his parents and his wife of 27 years, Bette McQuiston. A time of sharing will be at 3:00 PM, Sat., Sept. 27, 2014 at the Funeral Home, 226 S. Main St., Hartford, Wisconsin. Memorial gathering will be from 12:00 NOON until the time of sharing at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Samps' name may be directed to Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc, WI,
