Bettye Jo (McCuiston) Brinkley

Bettye Jo (McCuiston) Brinkley, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Bettye was born in Concord, Kentucky on May 30, 1932 to the late Russ and Eula (Marr) McCuiston. She was secretary for Governor Robert Orr, ran Congressman Roger Zion's regional office, and was the Sears Program Manager at Indian Industries. Bettye was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Police Ladies Auxiliary, and Eastern Star Chapter 555. She earned the Sagamore of the Wabash award. Bettye enjoyed reading and loved her family dearly.
Bettye is survived by her husband of 64 years, Brigadier General Billie Brinkley of Evansville, IN; daughter, Dana Trible of Evansville, IN; sons, Scott Brinkley and Lukas Brinkley both of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Eric Stoneberger (Liza) and Amy Angel (Eric); and great-grandchildren, Cayden, Lorelei, Deacon, and Silas.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Modena Ross and Elena Watkins; brothers, Charlie McCuiston and Barber McCuiston; and a son-in-law, Robert Trible.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Rev. Kevin Royalty officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 12:00 Noon until service time on Friday.
