      Danny J. McCuistion (Mac), 63, passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2013. A memorial service celebrating Danny’s life will be held at the American Legion, 320 N. Harrison Street, Cortez, on Aug. 24, 2013, at 2 p.m.
      Danny was born Jan. 12, 1950, at Mercy Hospital in Denver, to John and Edna McCuistion. He is survived by his wife, Shirley L. McCuistion; his parents, John and Edna McCuistion; his brothers, Robert McCuistion of Arvada, Colo., and John McCuistion of Arvada, Colo.; and sisters, Linda Allen of Arvada, Colo. Brenda Steiner of Lakewood, Colo., and Tami Thompson of Arvada, Colo.; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, James McCuistion.
      Mac was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the American Legion Honor Guard, DAV, and the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking and spent many hours out in his shop creating masterpieces. He also enjoyed going to the stock car races. He will be missed by all.
