Notes - Oliver Porter McCuistion reports: "My father's mother came west with her sisters. Went to Placerville. She ran a boarding house. She met two men--McCuistions. She married one (I have been told his name was the same as mine); the other brother's name was Robert. I don't know any thing more about them. My father's mother and her husband had a fight--he took the baby and left--she never seen him again. She got a ride over the mountains with a man who lived in Carson City, Nevada. That is where my father, Alvin James McCuistion, was born--that is about as far as I can go. She made it to Tooele and married William Culbertson Gollaher and had a son by him. Tyson Gollaher--he is dead. My father never knew his father--he never tried to learn anything of them."
