Hugh McQuiston Lynn, III, 90, of Cordova, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Hugh was born to the late Dr. Hugh McQuiston II and Etelka Schmidt Lynn on August 21, 1934, in Austin, TX. Hugh graduated from the University of Texas at Austin earning a B.S. in microbiology. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Hugh is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean; daughter, Julia (Jason) of Olive Branch, MS; son, Hugh McQuiston IV (Rachael) of Granger, IN; and seven grandchildren, Abby, Aiden, Andrew, Ava, Audrey, Landon, and Lynnlee. Hugh was a member of Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church. Hugh spent his adult life working in the chemical industry in sales and service before starting his own business, Guardian Service Company. Throughout his life, Hugh enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and spending time with family on the coast of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C. He was well known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. Hugh was also a wonderful grillmaster and cook. A visitation for Hugh will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1665 S Germantown Rd, Germantown, TN 38138, with a service to follow at 11:00 AM.
