Sandy attended Diamond Hill Jarvis Highschool, where she met Berlin "Bud" McCuiston. They were married on October 31, 1971. After 3 kids and 20 years of marriage, they divorced. The next chapter of Sandy's life was spent with her family, friends and her life partner, Doug. She loved crocheting, playing cards, gambling, and taking pictures. She was passionate about capturing every moment with a camera. She was joyful, fun loving and enjoyed life!
Sandy was larger than life. If you knew her, you knew what it meant to be loved. She had the most caring heart and never met a stranger. Sandy was the life of the party, bringing joy to everyone that was around her.
Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Pritchet; father, Roy Lewis Johnson Sr.; stepfather, James "Speck" Pritchett; brother, Bobby Johnson; nephews, Bruce, Gary Don and Ryan; and niece, Joella.
Sandy is survived by her siblings: brother, RL Johnson Jr. and wife, Diane; sister, Diane Barnes and Dusty Young; brother, Stevie Johnson; sister, Gayla Behlke; spouse, Doug Franks; her children, Kim Batterton and husband, Stephen; Chris McCuiston and Laura Neeley; Kelly McCuiston and wife, Sula; stepchildren, Donnie Franks and Monica Franks; grandchildren, Cody Laube and husband, Jason, Shelly McCuiston, Jaycee Smith and husband, Stephen, Kayla Batterton, Triston McCuiston and wife, Olivia, and Veronica Franks; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Omari, Addix, Aiden, Naomi, Penelope, Julian and Fallon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
