Patricia Ann McQuisten, age 87, of Munising, died early Sunday morning, October 2, 2022 at her home under the loving care of her family and North Woods Hospice. Pat was born on July 25, 1935 in Munising to Robert “Kyke” and Nellie (Tyner) Tongusi. She was raised in Munising, graduated from Sacred Heart School and attended Wm. G. Mather High School. Pat married Robert Rexstrew and together raised their six children. She was a homemaker and proudly raised two of her grandsons. Pat worked at Weiland’s, Mr. B’s, and Sydney’s restaurants. She moved to Sault Ste. Marie and worked there for many years before returning to Munising. Pat married Floyd McQuisten on August 13, 1988 and he preceded her in death in 1989. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed being outdoors. Pat was a talented seamstress and sewed toys for her children, and she loved to read. When her health failed, her children made sure she was still able to take walks as they pushed her around town in her wheelchair. Pat also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word searches and watching games shows and family shows like The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.

Marie, Kathleen LaBeau of Marquette, Laurie (Mike) Beauchine, Cheryl Rexstrew of Munising, Kenneth Rexstrew of Munising, and Michael Rexstrew of Marquette; three grandsons – Hugh, Ted, and Eric; great-granchildren – Christopher, Orayan, Drake, and Kaarah; siblings – Mary Jean Humphrey, Shirley Johnson, Chuck Tongusi, Terry Tongusis, Darlene Richardson, and Jake Tongusi; and numerous nieces and nephews; Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, and siblings Donna Reimer, Joseph Tongusi, Robert Tongusi and infant brothers Robert, Joseph, and John.
