- Robert L. Hall, 87, of Richmond, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Robert was born on July 1, 1933, in Stet, the son of Clarence A. and Myrle B. (Thomas) Hall. He was united in marriage to Harriett Ann Skelton of Lexington on October 15, 1952; she preceded him in death on January 20, 2008.
Survivors include: two daughters, Faith (Nathaniel) Locke of Richmond and Robin (Todd) Brooks of Conway, AR; two grandchildren, Christina (Matthew) Murray and Cassandra Brooks; and six great-grandchildren: Matt, Cassie, Logan, Jaxson, Lillian, and Sebrena.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Don Hall, and sister, Margie Thompson.
Robert was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from the Richmond High School. After high school, he served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. Bob was a jack-of-all trades; he built homes in Texas, was a police officer, fireman, and owned and operated shoe repair businesses in both Richmond and Excelsior Springs. He had a great sense of humor and loved the Lord.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or New Hope Cemetery. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, north of Hardin.
