- DAVID KINNEY OBITUARY
David L. Kinney, 51, of Newport, passed away at home on Thursday, February 18, 2010.
He was born on October 6, 1958 in Lewisburg, PA and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Indian Ocean.
He had been employed with Kinsley Construction Co.
David was a life member of the Duncannon VFW Post #255 and a member of the Enola American Legion. His greatest joy was his grandson, Dreshawn Snyder. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and car racing.
Surviving are his wife Helen Billman Kinney, a daughter Misty Snyder of Duncannon, his father Delmar LeRoy Kinney of Union, SC, his mother & stepfather Marjorie & Brian Moses of Hummelstown, a brother Billy Ray Black and his wife Audrey of Etters, 3 sisters; Julie Eckerd of Inglenook, Kerin Lukens of Duncannon, Susan Rissinger of Duncannon, his grandson Dreshawn Snyder and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Rita Faye Augenstein.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Cornerstone Christian Church, 595 New Bloomfield Road, Duncannon, PA with Pastor Mike Jarrell officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 pm (Noon) until 1 pm on Tuesday in the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 North High St. Duncannon.
