- JOANNE CATHERMAN OBITUARY
Joanne Catherman, 82, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, April 7, 2012. She was born march 26, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Vernon and Emily Frelander. She had been a retired Supervisor with the Army Corps of Engineers after many years of faithful service, a member of the Center for Spiritual Living where she gave of herself freely in any way needed. Joanne enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and going to Las Vegas, but her passion was for her family, friends and dogs. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Joanne is survived by her sons Bruce Catherman III and Tu Hong both of Minneapolis, MN; Sister Doris Wynia of S. Haven, MN and by nieces Lisa and Heather and nephew Chad. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Wendell Frelander. A visitation will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2012 also at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Sandhi Scott of the Center for Spiritual Living officiating.
