- Obituary for Mary Lee Edwards
Mary Lee Barrett Edwards, 81, of Rossville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. She was born in Henry County, Virginia to the late, Charlie & Euria Barrett, but has lived most of her life in the North Georgia area. She was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and retired from Millers Department Store after more than 14 years of service as a Clerk. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Barrett and two sisters, Gaynelle Tolbert and Betty Dalton.
Survivors include her loving husband of more than 63 years, Swanson Edwards of Rossville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Deborah & (Jim) Benton of East Ridge, TN; son & daughter-in-law, Donald & (Aggie) Edwards of Ringgold, GA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
