- Cassie Copeland McCuistion of Entiat
Cassie Copeland McCuistion passed away September 24, 2007, at SunnyBrook Senior Home in Wenatchee. She was born in Melbourne, AR on October 2, 1921, to William and Jeanette Gillihan Copeland. Cassie grew up in Melbourne and attended Melbourne schools, where she was a proud member of the girls' BearKatz basketball team, graduating in 1939. Cassie married Cecil McCuistion in 1940. The family moved to Washington in 1943, and made it their home. Cassie worked at the Buckhorn Cafe' in Cashmere, Will Risk Grocery, Columbia Cafe' and area warehouses in Entiat, where she and her family lived for many years. Cassie loved her family and friends, she enjoyed country music, keeping in touch with her childhood friends and traveling to Melbourne. Although she had lived in Washington for 60 plus years, her roots were always in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil; sister, Cappie Smith; and brothers, Jeff, Monroe, John, Bill and Carl Copeland. Cassie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Olin of Entiat; grandsons and wives, Michael and Heidi Olin of East Wenatchee, James and Phylisha Olin of Entiat, Lee and Bobbie Olin of Burlington, WA; great-grandsons, Morgan, Michael and Evan Olin; and another great-grandchild due in January. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Gathering for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 6, 2007, at the home of Donald and Linda Olin in Entiat
