- George Lee Pyke, 57, Kokomo, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 16, 1958, in Kokomo, to George Orville Pyke and Elizabeth Maxine (Campbell) Pyke.
He attended Haworth High School. He first worked for Continental Steel then later worked for Chrysler Casting Plant in Kokomo. George loved fishing, spending time on his motorcycle, and pontoon boat. He especially loved spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Dollar. He will be sadly missed by family and was a very good man. He would help anyone in need. George loved his family dearly and they loved him dearly.
Survivors include his mother of Kokomo; son, Dustin L. Pyke, Kokomo; twin sister, Georgetta and husband Ralph Ryan, Kokomo; sister, Linda McKee, Kokomo; sister, Judy Ennis and companion Don McMullan, both of Kokomo; niece, Heidi and husband Mike McDonald, Peru; nephew, Jim Nelson, Florida; niece, Angie and husband David Barreira, Kokomo; niece, April Grammer, Kokomo; nephew, Joel Fink, Kokomo; nephew, John Ennis, Kokomo; nephew, Ryan Ennis, Kokomo; nephew, Travis Ennis, Kokomo; nephew, Matt and wife Tiffany Ennis, Kokomo; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and nephews, Cory Ryan, Steve Fink, and Donald Fink.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Kim Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. A visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
