- Elizabeth Maxine Pyke, 90, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:37 AM Thursday March 15, 2018 at North Woods Village, Kokomo.
Born December 15, 1927 in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late Abe Campbell and Hester T. (Dillman) Campbell. In August 1956 she married George O. Pyke. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1970.
She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Elizabeth loved to boogie and listen to music. She loved swinging on her porch and taking in the scents of her lilacs. She liked to reminisce about her time in Greentown growing up.
Survivors include three daughters Linda McKee of Kokomo Judy Ennis (Don McMullan) of Kokomo, Georgetta K. (Ralph) Ryan of Kokomo; five brothers Merrell (Katrina) Campbell of Greentown, Darrell (Faye) Campbell of Kokomo, Larry Campbell of Kokomo, Vick Campbell of Kokomo, and Jeff Campbell of Kokomo; two sisters Mary Lou Groves of Kokomo and Phyllis Chapel of Noblesville. There are also 10 grandchildren Jim Nelson, Angie (David) Barreira, April Grammer, Joel Fink, John Ennis, Ryan Ennis, Travis Ennis, Matthew (Tiffany) Ennis, Dustin Pyke, and Heidi (Mike) McDonald. There are also 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son George L. Pyke, brothers Junior Campbell, Jack Campbell, Ray Keith Campbell; sisters Kate Reynolds, Barbara Eades, and Betty Campbell; also by three grandsons Stevie and Donnie Fink, and Cory Ryan; also one great great granddaughter Everleigh Smith.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Kim Drake will officiate. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday at the mortuary.
