- Jackie Dean Campbell, 75, of Elwood, passed away May 22, 2011, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law. Jack was born Dec. 23, 1935, to Edgar and Hester (Dillman) Campbell in Kokomo. He married Deloris "Dee" (Caldwell) Campbell on Aug. 20, 1955, and she survives. Jack retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson after 35 years of service as a fork-truck driver. He enjoyed working on cars, being with his family, camping and was an avid NASCAR fan. Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Dee Campbell of Elwood; daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Arehart of Elwood; two sons, Roger (Susan) Campbell of North Carolina and Dana Lee (Dana Lynn) Campbell of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Desiree Lineberry, Ivy Arehart, Jessica, Jama and Jenna Campbell, Tyler and Brooke Campbell, Mandy Wright and Breann Cain; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Merrill, Darrell, Larry, Vic and Jeff Campbell; and five sisters, Kate Reynolds, Maxine Pyke, Barbara Eades, Phyllis Chappell and Mary Lou Dover. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Campbell; mother, Hester Campbell; and a brother, Edgar Campbell. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with the Rev. Marvin Hahn, officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials are suggested to the United Mitochondrial Foundation through the funeral home.
