Justin Troy Cook, 32, Kokomo, passed away at 12:57 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Kokomo. He was born August 28, 1985, in Kokomo, the son of Gregory D. & Janie D. (Sweet) Cook. On December 13, 2013, he married Jenny L. Nelson and she survives.
Justin worked for Indiana Recovery Service as a tow truck driver. He had also worked for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department as a correctional officer. Justin was a volunteer fireman for Taylor Township Fire Department, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan who cherished the time he spent with his children.
Justin is survived by his wife, Jenny Cook; children, Makayla Bell, Klaytin Cook, and Koltin Cook; mother, Janie Cook; brothers, Tony Cook, and Gary (Tami) Cook; grandmother, Laura Bell Cook; nieces and nephews, Jaycie Corbat, Lilly Camden, Vincent Cook, Hayden Cook, and Colin Cook, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Gregory D. Cook, grandfather, Harold Cook, and aunt, Penny Pyke.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12-2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
