Joe Don McCuistion, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Tye-Oak Grove Cemetery in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Joe was born April 24, 1921, in Wichita Falls to Horace and Mary McCuistion. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was very proud of his grandson, Cpl. Blake Van Dusen, currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of Southwayside Baptist Church for 43 years and worked as a shipping and receiving supervisor for Chicago Pneumatic and Tarrant County College. He loved playing 42 dominoes and traveling with dear friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death in 1990 by his beloved wife of 25 years, Ruby.
Survivors: Son, Jimmy McCuistion and wife, Karan of North Richland Hills; daughters, Luann Van Dusen and husband, Jonathan of Belton, Karla Stepp and husband, Allan of Fort Worth and Vicki Waldrop of Lutz, Fla.; brother, Bobby McCuistion of Olney; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
