      George William Wallace, 95, of Paducah, died Friday at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
      He was born in the Bandana area of Ballard County to William Ambrose and Mary Eugenia Miller Wallace. He retired after a 25-year career in sales with Kellogg's Cereal Company. George was a Deacon Emeritus with Olivet Baptist Church, was a member and past Grand Master of Masonic Lodge #704 in Grahamville, and was a certified auctioneer. He was an avid gardener throughout his life.
      He is survived by his wife of seventy–three years, Mary C. Northington Wallace; two daughters, Nelda (Dale) Gaines of Cookeville, Tenn., and Annette (Terry) Becker of Nashville; four sons, Norman (Patty) Wallace and Morris (Edith) Wallace of W. Paducah, William "Bill" Wallace of Hartford, Ky., and Jerry Wallace of Duluth, Minn.; a sister, Nolie Mae Norsworthy of West Paducah; twenty grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Wallace; two brothers, Orville Wallace and Harvey Wallace; and his parents.
      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bill Ogden officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
