Vera Emmaline McChristian, 78, of 316 West Harvard Street, Siloam Springs, died January 11, 1998 at her home. She was born July 3, 1919 at Stuttgart, Arkansas, the daughter of J. C. and Mary ElVada Rogers Cunningham. She was retired from Levi Strauss & Company and was a member of the Eastgate Church of Christ in Siloam Springs, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Levi Strauss Retirees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oral Calvin McChristian on July 19, 1993.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Norman Dwayne and Evelyn McChristian of Siloam Springs; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mrs. Edith Sullins of Fayetteville, Mrs. Lois Eubanks of Springdale, and Mrs. Lenora and Wayne Harriman of Johnson; one sister-in-law, Leah Garrett of Farmington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Jim Caldwell, minister officiating. Interment was in the Grose Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Steve Martindale, Stanley Sullins, Joe Harriman, Wesley Griffin, Jim Griffin, Mark Cunningham, Charles Couch and Gordon Brown.
