      Elbert J. Mostellcr, 85, of Independence, Kan., died Monday, September 2, 1974,
      in Independence. Born February 28, 1889 in Clay County, N. C., he was a member
      of the Church of Christ.
      Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ida Alta McChristian Mosteller of the home; four
      sons, Lowell of Corcoran, Calif, Aden of West Fork, Gerald of Phoenix, Ariz. and
      Jerry of Coffeyville, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Velda Glenn of Fayetteville,
      Mrs. Ruth Muller of Springdale, Mrs. Donna Miller of St. Louis and Mrs. Leta
      Lowry of Independence; two brothers, Charles and George of Haskell, Okla.; three
      sisters, Mrs. Eliza Hogan of Tulsa, Mrs. Ola McGee of Muskogee, Okla. and Mrs.
      Mary Ridley of Haskell.
