      Linda Sue (McCuiston) Morphew, born on October 7, 1947, in Evansville, Indiana, departed this life on September 24, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and the joy of simple pleasures that gathered a community of friends and family who adored her.
      Linda's early years in Evansville shaped her into the diligent and engaging person many came to know and love. She attended Rex Mundy High School, class of 1965, and her down-to-earth personality made her a cherished classmate and friend. After graduation, Linda demonstrated a strong work ethic at Kmart, where she devoted over 35 years, occupying multiple positions, including that of a capable and attentive merchandiser.
      Her family was the cornerstone of Linda's life. She was preceded by her parents, Robert and Velma "Skip" (Bettag) McCuiston, her sister Carol Ann Williams, and her brother Lenny McCuiston. Yet, the bright light and love she carried are memories that will be forever cherished by her daughter, Natalie Guyer, and her son, Michael (Chris) Morphew. Linda's enduring affection and support manifested themselves in every aspect of her role as a grandmother to her loving grandchildren, Delaney and Haley, whose lives were greatly enriched by her presence.
      Linda's passions extended beyond her family and work. Her love for travel was exemplified by her joy of cruise ship voyages, where she reveled in the splendor of the seas and engaging companionship of fellow travelers. An ardent fan of music, she found great comfort and excitement in the tunes of Toby Keith and Elvis Presley, whose songs could always light her up and call forth her radiant smile.
      Always ready for a game of bingo and a good conversation, Linda walked through life with an open heart and an ease that drew people to her. Her sociable nature brought life to any gathering, and her zest for simple pleasures like going on walks, affirmed her appreciation for life's moments.

      Linda will have a private inurnment that will take place at Fairview cemetery in Mishawaka, IN, as well as St Joseph Cemetery in Evansville, IN.

      Velma K. "Skip" McCuiston
      Aug. 27, 1924 - March 5, 2015 OSCEOLA - Velma K. "Skip" McCuiston, 90, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital on March 5, 2015. Skip was born on August 27, 1924, in Evansville, IN, to Hank and Katherine (Korressel) Bettag. In 1945 she married Robert Roy McCuiston. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Williams; a sister and two brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Morphew of Mishawaka; a son, Lenny McCuiston of Osceola; two grandchildren, Natalie Guyer and Michael (Chris) Morphew; two great- grandchildren, Delaney Guyer and Haley Morphew; a brother, Elmer Bettag of Loogootee, IN; and several nieces and nephews. I would like to take the time to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. As you know mom was a friend to whoever she met. Young or old. She was truly an open and honest lady. If she had something to say, she would say it. Mom was a very lucky person to have so many friends in her life and so many stories to be able to tell. There are so many people that I would like to thank personally and hopefully in the next few days I will be able to do so. But I would like to introduce a friend of mom's who has stood by her for years. Mary May. Mary May called mom daily to see how she was. She sat at the bingo with her to help watch her cards. She would help mom every day that mom was able to go anywhere. Please remember Mary May in your prayers because she was a very special friend to Skip and the family. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. John Enze officiating. Again thank you for your love, your thoughts and your prayers. It's time for bingo.
