William Oscar Bull Sr., 80, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 9264 Rippard Ave., Norfolk, Va. after a short illness.
Native of Guilford county, Mr Bull had lived in Norfolk for 28 years and was employed at the U.S. Naval basae there. Before moving to Virginia, he worked for Vick Chemical Co. here and attended West End Methodist Church in Greensboro.
Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Edmondson; three sons, Dennis, William O. Jr., and John Bull, all of Norfolk; one step-daughter, Miss Margaret Ward of Norfolk; one step-son, J. R. Ward of Norfolk; one brother John Bull of Kernersville; one sister Sallie Workman of Kernersville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hanes-Lineberry chapel with Rev. Dale Smith, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until the service.
