      John Gordon McQuiston, of New Windsor, entered into rest on May 13, 2014. He was 54.
      John was born May 25, 1959 to Kirk McQuiston and Terry (Haight) Hollahan in Newburgh, NY. John was an Electrician and belonged to IBEW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his son, John.
      In addition to his parents, Kirk and Terry, he is survived by his son, John B. McQuiston of the Town
      of Newburgh; his brother, Chuck McQuiston and his companion, Katie Thompson of Pine Bush and Tim McQuiston of Nevada; his stepfather, Richard Hollahan; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. John was predeceased by a brother, Brian Michael McQuiston.
      Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16th at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17th in St. Mary's Church, Newburgh with Father William Scafidi officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's memory may be sent to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
