      July 7, 1933 - June 4, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Anna Jane McCuistion, 80, passed from this life Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was born July 7, 1933, in Raccoon Township, PA. She was the daughter of Hugh Edward and Margaret Boggs (Covert) McConnell. Her early years were spent around Mechanicsburg and Aliquippa, PA. The family moved to Poteau, OK in 1946. She graduated from Poteau High School. Jane was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at Oklahoma A&M. She graduated with degrees in education as well as art and design. Jane married John Dale McCuistion in December 1955. Jane taught primary school in Kansas City, MO while John was attending medical school. Jane was very supportive of John. She was just as at home at an osteopathic convention as she was at a cattle sale or a fish fry. Jane was also very supportive of her children. She was a Camp Fire Leader and a Boy Scout Leader. She knew of piano recitals, track meets, football two-a-days, and band practice. Jane was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. She loved playing golf and watching OSU football. Jane believed in the power of positive thinking and the good in everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eddie McConnell; and her husband, Dr. John Dale McCuistion. Jane leaves precious memories with her son, John D. McCuistion II and wife Kathy; daughters, Carolyn Jo McCuistion and Shelley Lynn Wallace and husband Tony; sister, Marie Baker; brother, Jack and wife Sue McConnell; grandchildren, Wes and wife Ericka Elliott, Nick and wife Andrea Wallace, Joseph Wallace, Ashley and husband Chris Massenberg, John McCuistion III, Brandon Crawley, and Jacob Rowten; great-grandchildren, Andie, Hallie, and Charley; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 12-8 p.m. Sunday. Services to celebrate Jane's life will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at the South Colonial Chapel.       John Dale McCuistion, 79, passed from this life Friday, October 11, 2013. He was born September 23, 1934 the son of John Thomas and Elizabeth Ann (Latch) McCuistion in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. While attending high school in Broken Arrow, John played football securing a scholarship with Oklahoma State University. John and Anna Jane McConnell were married December 23, 1955 in Poteau, Ok. He later attended medical school in Kansas City, Missouri completing his residency in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. John, as he was known, opened his family practice in Madill, Oklahoma in 1964. He was blessed because he was able to do what he loved. He was supposed to be a doctor. He had no greater joy than caring for his patients. John and Jane moved to Oklahoma City in 1981 where he joined Dr. David Simpson’s practice in bariatric and nutrition. An active member of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, John served in numerous capacities including President. He was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. He loved playing golf. He also loved watching golf, the Dallas Cowboys and OSU football. An avid fisherman and hunter, John was a storyteller and no one could tell a fishing or hunting story like him. He loved his friends. He loved fish fries at Buncombe Creek. He loved music. He loved ranching. He loved camping. He loved dancing the jitter bug with Janie. And above all else, he loved his family. He wanted nothing more than for his family to have a firm foundation.

      He was preceded in death by:
      •his parents.

      John leaves precious memories with:
      •his wife - Jane;
      •son - John D. McCuistion II and wife Kathy;
      •daughters - Carolyn Jo McCuistion, and Shelley Lynn Wallace and husband Tony;
      •sister - Louise Thompson;
      •grandchildren - Nick Wallace and wife Andrea, J.D. Wallace, Wesley Elliott and wife Ericka, Ashley Elliott and fiancé Chris Massenberg, John D. McCuistion III, Brandon Crowley, and Jacob Rowten;
      •great grandchildren – Andie Jade, Hallie Jo, and Charlotte Ann;
      •and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.
