Wallace McCuiston June 15, 1927 - March 28, 2007 PHENIX CITY, AL- Wallace "Mac" McCuiston, 79, of Phenix City, AL died March 28, 2007 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday. March 31, 2007 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City with Rev. Elbert Ward and Rev. Robert Crumbley officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 till 7:30 at the funeral home. Mr. McCuiston was born June 15, 1927 in Grenada, MS son of the late James Harper McCuiston and Minnie Bell Elmore McCuiston. He served the people of Phenix City for many years as a Funeral Director having worked up to his death for Colonial Funeral Home. He was a Navy Veteran during WWII, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of the Wislon Williams Masonic Lodge #351 and a Phenix City Shriner. Mr. McCuiston is survived by his daughters, Bonnie McCuiston Clark and son-in-law, David of Opelika, AL and Delinda McCuiston Thompson and son-in-law Tommy of Jeffersonville, GA; son, Kenneth McCuiston of Panama City Beach, FL; sisters, Freddie Barrett and brother-in-law Tommy of Grenada, MS; granddaughter Karen McCuiston of Jeffersonville, GA, great grandson Trace Logan Thompson of Jeffersonville, GA and special devoted friend, Janie Reynolds of Columbus, GA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA, 31909 or Shiners 1911, Opelika Rd., Phenix City, AL 36867. JEFFERSONVILLE, GA- James Kenneth McCuiston, 63, passed away November 26, 2013. Graveside services with military honors will be held 2pm Saturday November 30, 2013 in Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday evening in Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, GA.
Mr. McCuiston was born in Grenada MS to the late Wallace and Ethel Stewart McCuiston. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was also the owner and operator of galley on fishing boats in Florida. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. McCuiston is preceded in death by his sister DeLinda Thompson.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen McCuiston of Jeffersonville; grandson, Trace Thompson of Jeffersonville; sister, Bonnie (David) Clark of Opelika, AL; brother-in-law, Bunky Thompson of Jeffersonville.
