      George Edward McQuiston


      George Edward McQuiston III, 64, of Bradenton, passed away on February 7th, 2013. The funeral service will be held Tuesday February 12th at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home at 720 Manatee Avenue West. The memorial will begin at 4:00pm. George was born in Cheswick, PA on August 12th, 1948. He graduated from Springdale High and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University. After serving two tours in Vietnam as a Gunner for the Sea Wolves, George proudly served the community of Manatee County through the judicial system for 27 years. George was an avid fisherman, and embodied the Florida ocean lifestyle. George is survived by his wife Luz, his sons Alex and Anthony, his sister Elizabeth and her partner Jeremy, and brother Victor; as well as other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family of George McQuiston wishes to thank Tidewell Hospice for their exceptional care.
