Anne Hunt "Nancy" McCuistion
Anne "Nancy" Hunt McCuistion 6/13/1934 – 1/28/2011 Nancy McCuistion was born in Tucson, AZ to Lon Hunt and Isabel Starrett Hunt. She lived her entire life in Southern Arizona. Raised on the Hunt Ranch in Cochise County, Arizona. Nancy graduated from Tombstone High School in 1952 and attended Arizona State University. Nancy worked at Fort Huachuca as a civil servant and later became a rancher's wife. She was involved in many community projects, helping to establish a public library in Patagonia as well as being a member on the Santa Cruz Planning and Zoning Commission. She loved Southern Arizona and was passionate about preserving the culture and history of Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties. Nancy is survived by her husband, P.D. (Sonny) McCuistion of Patagonia; a brother, John Hunt and his wife, Agnes of Tucson. She has two surviving children, James Meredith of Encinitas, CA and Andrea Dunning of Huachuca City, Arizona; five grandchildren, Megan and Eryn Dunning, Dylan and Austin Meredith and P.J. White. There will be a memorial held Saturday February 5, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Cady Hall located next to the Patagonia Library, 346 Duquesne Ave., Patagonia, AZ.
