Donald Edward McQuiston , 57, St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at a hospital in Omaha, Neb.
Donald was born Aug. 28, 1949, in Maryville, Mo., to Robert and Estella B. (Gray) McQuiston . He was a resident of St. Joseph most of his life, and was a member of First Baptist Church. He worked as a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and two sons, Bryan Michael McQuiston and Corey McQuiston .
He married Barbara Phillips on Sept. 8, 2001, in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.
Donald is also survived by one son, Jonathan McQuiston , of the home; stepdaughter, Marci Hawkins, of the home; father, Robert C. McQuiston , St. Joseph; sister, Janice Streck, St. Joseph; two brothers, Randy McQuiston , Savannah, Mo. and Richard McQuiston , St. Joseph; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Interment: Bethel Cemetery, DeKalb, Mo. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Helping Friends at United Missouri Bank.
