Helen C. McQuesten, 99, of Heaton Wood passed away on Monday, November 05, 2018.
She was born on September 6, 1919, in Haverhill, NH, the daughter of Fredrick and Eva (Wells) Clough.
She attended schools in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill Academy in 1937.
She then married Archie McQuesten in October 1938. Mr. McQuesten predeceased her in 1968.
After raising her children as a stay at home mom, she worked as a clerk for the Agency of Transportation. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering for the Central Vermont Medical Center where she helped visitors with a warm smile. Time spent at the family camp in New Hampshire with Helen will forever be cherished by her family.
Survivors include her children; Gloria Washburne of Montpelier and Gary McQuesten of Plainfield; grandchildren, Kelly Toomey and her husband Kevin of Berne, NY, Todd Washburne of Calais, Jenna McQuesten of Burlington and Jack McQuesten of Plainfield; great grandchildren, Cailyn Toomey and Quinn Toomey of Berne, NY.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda McQuesten on October 6, 2009; her son in law, Ben Washburne; and her siblings, Roland Clough, Harold Clough, Thelma Willey, and Lawrence Clough.
There will be no calling hours. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
