Laura Agnes McQuiston, 78, Indiana, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the Communities at Indian Haven.The daughter of James and Elizabeth Nicewonger Rising, she was born September 7, 1932 in Rayne Township.Laura was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Indiana County. Surviving are her two children, Libby Rhoades and her husband Bob and Patrick McQuiston, both of Indiana; a brother, Gifford Rising, Clymer; five grandchildren, Joni Blystone, Valerie Slade, Heather McQuiston, Jimmy McQuiston, and Jeffrey McQuiston; six great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie McQuiston.Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael 'Bobo' McQuiston; son, James, sisters, Louise Bence, Betty Taylor, Mary Stiffler, Pauline Huseonia, Mildred Rising, and Clara Smith; brothers, Jim and Harry.Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home will be private. Interment will be in the Sample Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Communities at Indian Haven, 1675 Saltsburg Ave., Indiana , Pa, 15701.
