      Max McQuiston, 74, Kingsville, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
      He was born in Fredonia, Kansas on Dec. 26, 1935 to Carl and Alice (Chapman) McQuiston.
      He was a U.S. Navy retiree and also retired from U.S. Government Civil Service.
      He is survived by his wife, Fran, of Kingsville, TX; son, Kurt McQuiston (Leslie), of Sunapee, NH; daughter, Paige Jordan (Michael), of Fort Worth, TX; a stepson, Tony Mesa, of Little Rock, AR; sister Betty Greve (Mel), of Coalinga, CA; and brother, John Martin, of Hanford, CA; grandsons, Augie and Max McQuiston, of Sunapee, NH; aunt, Verta Chandler, of Yates Center, KS, aunt Gena Vera Niblack, of Santa Barbara, CA; plus cousins and many friends.
      He has been cremated and a Memorial service will be held sometime this spring at the Lynn Creek Cemetery in Berryton, Kansas.
      Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association, or COPD-Support, Inc. c/o Janice L. Reynolds, 85 Main St, ,Windham, ME 04062 or a charity of choice.
