      Florence E. McQuestion (1920-2010)

      Florence E. McQuestion 89, passed away peacefully at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital on Jan. 26, 2010. She was born on June 8, 1920, to Bernard and Paulina Wilson on the banks of the Yukon River in Spring Camp.

      In her earlier years, she resided in Galena, Ruby and Kokrines. She later made Fairbanks a permanent home for her family.

      Her hobbies included beading, skin sewing (which consisted of the tanning process), knitting and her all-time favorite thing, Bingo.

      She is proceeded in death by her husband, Nelson McQuestion; parents Bernard and Paulina Wilson; adoptive parents, Haymen and Elizabeth Henry; granddaughter, Lydia F. Charlie; son-in-law, Larry Charlie; niece, Doris Paul; and nephew, Raymond Paul.

      She is survived by her son, Gabe; daughters, Dee (John), Polly and Joyce; 13 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; sister, Edith Bifelt and family; adoptive brother, Warner Paul and family; numerous family and friends of Fairbanks and along the Yukon River.

      Tea will be served today, Thursday, at 941 26th Ave., Fairbanks.

      Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29. The funeral Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Birch Hill Cemetery.

      A potlatch will be held at Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall at 6 p.m.
