      Hi Gloria, this is the obituary for one of my favorite relatives. Mabel Beth was a wonderful southern LADY that everyone loved.       Amarillo Globe-News Mabel Beth Kilpatrick, 95, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Graveside services will be at Llano Cemetery by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Kilpatrick was born June 27, 1912, in Olney to Alice May McCuistion Moore. She graduated from Olney in 1931, where she was a Senior class officer, voted Best Looking Girl and participated in various clubs including the Pep Squad, Dramatics Club, and the Home Economics Club. Mabel married T.A. "Pat" Kilpatrick on August 15, 1931. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and served as a teacher in various departments for many years. Mabel and her husband participated and served together in many activities at First Baptist Church. Mabel served as a volunteer in the hospital auxiliary at Northwest Texas Hospital in the 1960's, and loved china painting. She will be remembered most for being a loving, supportive, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, T.A.. "Pat" Kilpatrick, in 2003 and her daughter, Betty Kline, in 1990. Her mother passed away in 1932. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Maas of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Connie Okill and husband, John of Canyon and Kathy Davis and husband, Dan of Dallas, Phyllis Sheets and husband Jerry of Cary, N.C. and Philip Maas and wife Becky of Richmond, Va.; eight great-grandchildren, Emily Davis, James Davis, children of Connie Okill; Anna Davis, Samuel Davis, children of Kathy Davis; Erin Sheets, Katie Sheets, children of Phyllis Sheets; and Jordan Maas, Nicole Maas, children of Philip Maas. The family suggests memorials be to Betty Kilpatrick Kline Piano Scholarship Endowment Fund, WTAMU, Box 60766, Canyon, TX 79016 or BSA Hospice, P. O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105. The family will be at 6307 Academy and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, March 6, 2008
